Organic Farming in the Ennstal valley
Our farm was one of the founding members in 1989.
The "Biolandwirtschaft Ennstal" was founded in 1989 as a regional initiative - today, every third farmer in the Styrian district of Liezen sticks to the strict rules of organic farming.
Because of the mountain climate, we focus on cattle rearing. We mainly produce BIO diary products and BIO meat for industrial consumers as well as for direct sale and for regional shops.
The second important aspect of local BIO farmers is the accomodation of guests who really want to relax in a healthy environment.
But we do not only want to produce healthy and delicious food but also look after the beauty and nature of our landscape and want to preserve long-standing values and traditions.
By doing so, we would like to lay the basis for our children to work on the BIO farm also in the future.
Biomass plant in Lassing
we are fully connected to the network and bring our own wood to the plant
we not only deal with animals at the farm .
but also bring all pulpwood to the biomass plant in Lassing which supplies the entire village of Lassing.
Our solar panels
The entire farm uses not only woodchips heating but also 50m2 of solar panels.
Our sun terrace is not by accident located below our solar panel surrounded by herbs and flowers. Enjoy relaxing hours in the sun and breath the scent of herbs and flowers.
